Former Law Society of Kenya President Allen Gichuhi is among the 20 long serving and outstanding lawyers who have now joined the rank of Senior Counsel.
Mr Gichuhi, a litigator and arbitrator, served as the LSK President between March 2018 and March 2020.
“We are pleased to announce that our Senior Partner, Mr Allen Gichuhi EBS,C.Arb, was (on Tuesday May 13) conferred by the President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, the rank of Senior Counsel,” the law firm, Wamae & Allen Advocates, where he is a senior partner, said in a LinkedIn message.
“This honour is bestowed on him for his exemplary services rendered to the nation in the legal profession, and his contribution to law and development. The ceremony follows the publication of the Honour back in 2022”.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Mr Gichuhi is credited with training over 10,000 advocates, judicial officers and students of law between 2005 and 2024.
He is a member of bar bench committees of the Court of Appeal as well as the High Court’s Commercial Division.
