Titleholder and record 10-time World Rally Championship (WRC) winner, Sebastien Ogier, will mark his return to the Safari Rally in March.
The French ace, running a partial WRC campaign in 2026, will skip the all-snow in Rally Sweden in mid February and make his Safari comeback in the third leg that runs from March 12-15.
Ogier last competed in Kenya in 2023 where he won the toughest rally in the world.
He is eager to get back behind the wheel of his Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 after finishing third in the season opening WRC Rallye Monte-Carlo.
His presence in Kenya is expected to trigger a surge in spectator excitement, with fans dying to witness his mastery on the challenging Savannah terrain after a two-year absence.
The Safari Rally is set to be one of the most anticipated events in the championship calendar this year, and Ogier’s presence is sure to add an extra layer of excitement.
With its unique blend of scenic stages, challenging terrain, and electric atmosphere, the WRC Safari Rally Kenya 2026 promises to be an unforgettable experience.
The French star won the 2021 WRC Safari Rally on its return to the global calendar before repeating his success two years later.
A third win next month will put him in exalted company as a three-time WRC Safari Rally winner, with only three other drivers having won the event more than twice in history.
Rallying legends, the late Shekhar Mehta, Björn Waldegård and Juha Kankkunen remain the only men to have won Africa’s round of the WRC more than twice.
