The biennial International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources, SIREXE, will be held in Côte d’Ivoire’s capital Abidjan later this year.
The second edition of the energy event, dedicated to the mining, oil, and energy sectors, is set to take place between November 18-22, 2026. It follows the great success of the inaugural event held in 2024, which brought together players in the energy and extractive sectors with a keen focus on fostering investment, partnerships, and sustainable resource development across Africa.
This year’s event returns to the Abidjan Exhibition Centre, with a renewed ambition: to establish itself as the leading platform for investment, partnerships, and innovation in Africa’s mining, oil and energy sectors.
SIREXE 2026, organised by the Ministry of Mines, Oil and Energy of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, will bring together players from across the continent and globally, including public decision-makers, industry leaders, investors, financial institutions, and experts from around the world.
This year’s edition will place discussions and exchanges at the heart of a key issue for Africa’s economic future, with the theme being: “Extractive and energy industries: what infrastructure is needed to support economic development in Africa?”
Industry players will highlight the crucial challenges associated with developing infrastructure capable of supporting the growth of extractive industries and maximising their contribution to the sustainable development of African economies.
The main guest this year is Botswana, recognised as one of Africa’s leading examples of mining governance and the strategic utilisation of natural resources.
Botswana is set to illustrate the importance of best practices, transparency and the creation of local value in the management of mineral resources. Over five days, SIREXE 2026 will offer a packed programme featuring high-level conferences, expert panels, B2B meetings, technology exhibitions and networking opportunities, bringing together key players across the value chains of the extractive and energy industries.
The exhibition will aim to strengthen synergies between governments, companies and investors in order to accelerate the sustainable transformation of Africa’s natural resources into drivers of economic development.
Institutions, companies and professionals in the sector are now invited to book their stands and obtain their PRO PASS to take part in this major event, which will bring together in Abidjan the decision-makers and leaders shaping the energy and mining future of the continent and the world.
