Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary Pauline Njoroge has resigned from the party after 14 years of service, ending her tenure at the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) and her membership in the party.
Njoroge announced her resignation in a statement on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, saying she was stepping down from the NEC with immediate effect.
“For the last fourteen years, I have walked an incredible political journey. Today, however, I believe the time has come to embrace a new chapter,” she said.
She also disclosed that she has been involved with the Linda Mwananchi movement since February, describing it as a platform focused on promoting good governance, constitutionalism, accountability, and servant leadership among Kenya’s younger generation.
“Since February this year, I have had the privilege of being part of Linda Mwananchi movement. Over the months, my conviction has only grown stronger that this movement represents an important platform for advancing the aspirations of our generation,” she said.
Njoroge thanked former President Uhuru Kenyatta, the Jubilee Party leader, whom she described as a mentor who provided guidance, opportunities, and support throughout her political career.
“I am especially grateful to the Jubilee Party Leader, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, who has been more than a leader to me. He has been a mentor, a teacher, and a political father,” she stated.
Her resignation comes days after Jubilee Party lost the Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election to the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) on Thursday, July 16. Jubilee’s candidate, Wilson Mwaniki Kigwa, received 198 votes out of more than 41,000 votes cast.
Njoroge, who has expressed interest in vying for the Nairobi Woman Representative seat, said her decision to leave Jubilee and join Linda Mwananchi was difficult but necessary, describing it as the beginning of a new political chapter.
“Every meaningful journey reaches a point where one must embrace a new season. For me, that time has arrived,” she said.
