Google has launched Gemini 3, its most advanced AI model, bringing state-of-the-art reasoning and powerful new agentic capabilities.
The model is set to transform everyday Google products and marks a major step in making AI more useful for people in Kenya and across Africa.
“In this new chapter, we’ll continue to push the frontiers of intelligence, agents, and personalisation,” stated Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet.
The announcement comes as Kenya’s tech adoption accelerates, with Google reporting a 150 percent surge in AI-related searches and a tripling in searches for “AI jobs” over the past year.
Built for deeper understanding, Gemini 3 introduces a new era of intelligence. “Gemini 3 Pro, the first model in the new family, demonstrates PhD-level reasoning and sets new performance records… This leap in core intelligence is the foundation for the new experiences rolling out today,” read the statement.
The model delivers more direct, insightful responses and improves natural-language “vibe coding” for developers. Its enhanced agentic abilities help it understand intent, plan multi-step tasks and complete actions with fewer prompts.
These improvements also power a smarter Google Search. “For the first time, a new Gemini model is available in Search from day one… Instead of just reading about physics, a user can now interact with a simulation of the three-body problem… Someone researching a mortgage can receive a custom-built loan calculator,” the statement read.
A new agent in the Gemini app can also take action on behalf of users. For Ultra subscribers, it can handle complex tasks across Google apps. “A user can ask it to ‘organise my inbox’… A request like, ‘Help me book a mid-size SUV for my trip’, allows the agent to find flight details… and prepare the booking,” the statement added.
Google Antigravity introduces a “mission control” system for coordinating multiple agents, helping developers verify outputs and work at a more strategic level.
Google says Gemini 3 has undergone its most extensive safety checks yet. According to the statement, Gemini 3 Pro is available from 19th November 2025 in the Gemini app and in AI Mode in Search for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers.
