Kayole police have launched an investigation into the disturbing case of Fred Omondi, an 11-year-old boy who was tortured and killed. His lifeless body was discovered inside a fenced compound in Chokaa, near Maua Primary School, where the tragic incident occurred.

Fred Omondi went missing on June 4, 2025, and his badly mutilated body was found the following Wednesday morning, with some body parts missing.

A post-mortem revealed that Fred died from severe assault and strangulation. His body bore multiple bruises, his left hand was missing, and there were three deep cuts on his head.

According to Njiru Sub-county Police Commander John Owuoth, who confirmed the incident, a missing person report was filed at Mihango Police Station on June 4. The following day, the body was discovered—mutilated and with some parts missing.

“We received the report of the missing boy on June 4, and the DCI took over the investigations. We are confident that we will uncover what happened and who committed this heinous act. There have been no arrests so far, but we are determined to get to the root of it,” said Owuoth, the deputy DCIO.

Fred’s grieving family is appealing for justice. “Our son came to visit us for the holidays. We never imagined we would end up burying him instead,” said his father.

The chilling incident has shocked residents and prompted authorities to intensify their investigations.
