The motion sponsored by Kirinyaga woman representative Njeri Maina, wants sex education to be introduced in schools to curb among other things, teenage pregnancies and related health risks. The National Land Commission has asked members of Parliament to help it secure a budgetary allocation of about Sh900 million to pay persons displaced by several infrastructure projects across the country. NLC chairman Gershom Otachi, in a meeting with the National Assembly Committee on Lands, said that the commission was cash strapped, even as it sought to compensate project affected persons. The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has officially begun a week-long online auction of goods said to have overstayed at the port of Mombasa due to non-payment of levies and taxes. KRA, in a statement, said that the week-long sale that began on Monday will run until Sunday August 20, 2023. The exercise will also involve the sale of cars stuck at the port. American Tower corporation, which leases key infrastructure to Telkom, alleges breach of contract and bdad faith Telecommunications company Telkom Kenya has once again found itself in the eye of the storm after the American Tower Company asked it to pay at least Sh650 million so that it can be reconnected to its telecommunication infrastructure.
