Bishop Allan Kiuna, founder of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC), is dead.
Kiuna, 58, died on Tuesday at a Nairobi hospital while receiving treatment for myeloma cancer, a type of blood cancer that, while treatable, remains incurable.
Jubilee Christian Church, which Kiuna founded, released a press statement late Tuesday announcing his death and requesting privacy for the family during this time of mourning.
“It is with heartfelt condolences that today we announce the passing of our beloved Bishop Allan Kiuna. Bishop Allan Kiuna…was an extraordinary man who touched the lives of many and had a great passion for ministering not only locally but globally,” JCC said.
“His unwavering faith, compassion, and dedication to the church and community have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was not only a spiritual leader but also a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.”
Kiuna was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and sought treatment for his condition both locally and internationally, including in the United States.

In December last year, during a thanksgiving ceremony, he declared himself cancer-free following a year-long treatment in the United States.
“For the year I was in the US, my treatment cost $3 million, and I didn’t pay a single penny out of my pocket because the God of heaven provided. I didn’t call anyone,” Kiuna said.
“Don’t become bitter with the process. If you become bitter with the process, you will abort your purpose. I am not bitter about the process because I am better. My best days are ahead of me,” he added.
On Wednesday, President William Ruto eulogised the departed preacher, describing him as a dedicated Christian leader who founded JCC and inspired many to follow the teachings of God.
“To his wife, Rev Kathy Kiuna, and family, we stand with you in this time of grief and mourning, and pray that you find the courage to persevere through this trying period. May he rest in peace,” he wrote on X.
The Deputy President’s wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, described Kiuna as a gallant soldier who fought bravely.
“A gallant soldier has fallen. Bishop Allan Kiuna of JCC. My heart goes out to Rev. Kathy Kiuna and her family as the nation mourns the loss of a great teacher of the Word and a pillar in the body of Christ,” she said.
Bishop Kiuna is survived by his wife of 29 years, Rev Kathy, and three children.
