Joseph Irungu alias Jowie has been sentenced to death after he was found guilty of the murder of Monica Kimani in 2018. While addressing the press after the court ruling, Jowie’s emotional mother faulted the decision, insisting that her son was innocent and was erroneously sentenced. In expressing dissatisfaction with the sentence delivered by Justice Grace Nzioka, the mother of four exuded confidence that justice would eventually be served and her son would be released at an appropriate time.
