Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has been confirmed to have died following a helicopter crash in north-western Iran on Sunday, according to state media. Foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and several others are also reported to be among the dead. State media says the “hard landing” happened as hard-line cleric President Raisi was making his way to the city of Tabriz, after returning from the border with Azerbaijan. By Barbara Owano Kenya has received 450,000 doses of self-injectable contraceptives from the United Kingdom in an effort to improve family planning for sexually active women. The Depot Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA-SC) contraceptives procured by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) with over Sh57 million (£348,000) funding from the UK government will be distributed to health facilities across the country by the Ministry of Health.
