President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi says that Egypt cannot betray the Palestinian people and will do everything possible to protect and support them

Restoring the Gaza Strip, destroyed as a result of the actions of Israeli forces, could require over $90 billion, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, said.

“Restoring [Gaza Strip] could require more than $90 bln,” according to the Egyptian leader, whose speech was broadcast by Al-Qahera el-Ekhbariya TV channel.

El-Sisi added that Egypt cannot betray the Palestinian people and will do everything possible to protect and support them.

The situation in the Middle East sharply escalated following an incursion of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israel on October 7. Israel has declared a complete siege of the Gaza Strip and started a military operation.
