Nairobi Law Monthly writer Silas Apollo laid to rest in Migori

Silas Apollo, a political commentator and staffer with The Nairobi Law Monthly was laid to rest on Friday, May 2, at his family home in Nyarach, Rongo, Migori County.

Apollo, 35, died from injuries he sustained in a road accident involved a runaway motorcycle on Kiambu Road on April 9.

He was on his way home from work when the accident occurred.

After the crash, he was initially taken to St. Teresa’s Hospital before being transferred to the Kiambu Level 6 Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Apollo was eulogised by colleagues, friends, and family as a dedicated journalist and a passionate political analyst whose work left a mark on Kenya’s media landscape.

He wrote one chapter in the book, Rigathi Gachagua and the Politics of Betrayal published in January by the Nairobi Law Monthly team.
